Los Tribunales Municipales, Agencias Policiales se Unen Para la Redada de Órdenes de Arresto
February 19, 2016 -- Los Tribunales de la Ciudad de Houston y el Departamento de Policía (HPD) anuncian su participación en la Gran Redada de Órdenes de Arresto de 2016 (WRU). Junto con 300 jurisdicciones en todo el estado que participarán en ésta campaña anual de cumplimiento de la ley que comienza el sábado 5 de Marzo 2016. Las jurisdicciones vecinas que participan en esta iniciativa estatal como participantes regionales incluyen los condados de Harris, Galveston, Fort Bend, Brazoria, Nueces, Waller y Wichita.
“Hacemos todo lo posible para alentar a los individuos a resolver casos pendientes antes de que se retrasen, pero cuando dejan de hacerlo, recurrimos a las agencias del orden público para ejecutar las órdenes de arresto,” dijo la Directora y Juez Principal, Barbara E. Hartle. “Participación en el programa estatal WRU simultáneamente con otras jurisdicciones ayuda a lograr un mejor conocimiento del público, y esperamos que sea un aliciente para resolver sus casos pendientes antes de ser arrestados,” explicó la Juez Hartle.
Juez Hartle también compartió que el Tribunal Municipal de la Ciudad de Houston ofrece varias opciones para la resolución de los casos con orden de arresto. “Los acusados podrán reunirse también con jueces y fiscales para solicitar un plan de pago o servicio a la comunidad en forma de resolver el caso,” dijo Juez Hartle. “Quiero que todos sepan que pueden venir a resolver su caso sin miedo de ser detenidos en el Tribunal Municipal,” afirmó Juez Hartle.
HPD tendrá la asistencia de la Unidad de Aprehensión de Fugitivos de la Procuraduría General del Estado de Texas para localizar a personas con órdenes de arresto pendientes. Una vez que el periodo de la Gran Redada de Órdenes de Arresto comience el 5 de Marzo del 2016, HPD y otras agencias policiales se enfocarán en buscar agresivamente a los acusados con órdenes de arresto pendientes. Las autoridades advierten que las detenciones se pueden llevar a cabo en cualquier lugar incluyendo la casa, la escuela o el empleo.
Se están mandando avisos por correo a todos los acusados del Tribunal Municipal de Houston con órdenes de arresto vigentes. Las personas con órdenes judiciales fuera de la jurisdicción de la Ciudad de Houston deben comunicarse con la jurisdicción respectiva para obtener información sobre como cancelar esas órdenes.
